Unite Us collaborates with Paralyzed Veterans of America

Health and Wellness Informatics News

Unite Us is collaborating with PVA to clear social obstacles for veterans. They aimed to connect the necessary resources like healthcare, transportation, and housing using software and technology.

PVA works to address paralyzed veterans and veterans with catastrophic disabilities. The organization also works to provide spacing, necessary healthcare, treatment, and search for available job opportunities. PVA serves veterans from its 70 offices in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.

There is an acute shortage of basic needs and resources that are out of reach of career programs, says PVA. Partnering with Unite Us will also be a game changer, he continues.

Unite Us constructs an ecosystem between healthcare facilities and social services to automate the process using new technologies and software. However, the ecosystem made by the company is HITRUST-certified, and industry providers can access the data and identify the social services needed to make, report on results, receive referrals, and manage payments using the software.

Unite Us is a New York-based company whose main objective is to generate equity for health management by connecting healthcare networks with social services authorities.

According to the reports, Oregon, North Carolina, Massachusetts, California, and Arizona have agreed to expand the application of Medicaid dollars to community services. Diversifying the Medicaid dollars to other requirements than healthcare is a good step.

There is still a strong debate that community-based services funding should be a responsibility of healthcare. However, the reports suggest that healthcare providers are unable to address cost, quality, and equity problems in the healthcare sector for veterans.

The collaboration between Unite Us and PVA is a big step forward. In PVA’s statement, Adrienne Sherk stated the veterans are grateful for the work they have done for them. All the facilities related to transportation, jobs, housing, and healthcare are also helping them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
